But what about the Butt's?

Have you noticed who many cigarette butts are left lying around in our yards, parks, sidewalks, shopping centers, even our yards! 7300 butts are the number that comes from a pack a day smoker for one year. They are everywhere!

Did you know?

- Cigarette butts are the most littered item in Texas!
- The toxic fumes from cigarette filters can pollute our water and kill fish and animals.
- Cigarette butts can take up to 25 years to decompose.
- Approximately 5.2 trillion cigarettes are manufactured every year worldwide; 1 in 3 of these butts will become litter.

You can go to www.dontmesswithtexas.org and report a driver when they toss a butt out their window from their car getting the time, location, date and license number of the Texas plate and they will receive a nice letter asking them not to litter along with a free car litterbag!!
